Hello. So I am currently on an Ed visa and changing to a marriage visa. I have all my paperwork except the house we are currently renting a blue book and copy of owners ID. We rent through a management company and they are stating they cannot get me either of them… not sure why.

Anything I can do to remedy this? Or my agent can do etc? I thought they had to provide that information.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently transitioning from an Ed visa to a marriage visa but is facing difficulties obtaining necessary documents from their rental management company. They need the owner's blue book and ID for the visa application, but the management company claims it can't provide these documents, citing a prior agreement. Community suggestions include checking the rental contract for owner info, contacting immigration for advice, and considering hiring a visa agent to assist with the documentation.

If you're on an ED visa now, didn't you need all this information for your extensions??

some visa agents can get you a TM30 and a rental contract, as part of doing the visa application process, it might be worth you paying a visa agent to just do it all for you.

can’t do with a marriage visa because of the immigration visit etc

Ok. So we have been going back and forth with the management company. They are saying that when we moved in we agreed we would not need the information. So they are adamant that we will not get the blue book or the ID of the owner.

How is this legal?

as it is a regulation required by an authority of Thailand , the owner and the management company will need to comply , otherwise the rental is invalid , better to move on

ok. But if I leave. I’m still out the deposit etc.

Just use your wifes blue book and your tm30

To my understanding (which could be incorrect) your rental contract must include the owners information as well as the company that is managing the property.

Check your contract for that information, if it isn't there you or your agent should speak to immigration and ask what steps you can take to rectify this situation.

The only solution may be to terminate the lease early and find somewhere that will provide this information in the contract.

ya. My agent, wife and I have looked it over and the information needed isn’t in it. My visa agent is going to see if there is someway around it. But ya that’s definitely a plan c I guess haha.

Tell your management company to do their job or leave...

All the rental contract should provide a package with the owner's info on it. Your owner might not be claiming taxes on the rental. The agent is lying to you.

the agent or the property manager? The rental agreement doesn't have that package of information. Just the basic clauses and my Thai wife and I signature.
