This is sort of from another post. But I'm on a marriage visa and was told the only time the verification of funds matters is two months prior to applying or reapplying for your marriage visa. Is this true?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Verification of funds for a marriage visa in Thailand is important only two months prior to applying for or extending the visa. However, some immigration offices may require a three-month seasoning period for the minimum amount of 400,000 THB. To avoid complications, it is advisable to keep the required funds in a separate bank account until the visa extension is approved.

The best way to solve this problem is to put the

and since the "1-year Extension of Stay based on marriage to a Thai wife" ist handed out with 4 weeks "under consideration", it is advisable to keep the 400.000.- THB until you get issued the full 1-year Extension. Just as a precaution

the "official" police order mentions two-months seasoning of a minimum of 400.000.- THB on the day you apply for the EXTENSION (not the visa!) of the stay permit by ONE YEAR

*** however SOME Immigrations make up their own rules and demand a THREE-months seasoning, knowing you will need an agent to jump through this hoop and pay tea money
