Can I complete my marriage paperwork at the amphur before my visa expires in February?

Mostly visa stuff. I unofficially got married to my Thai wide in December and recently did Bangkok to get the paperwork at the embassy which they are doing the ministry stuff for me as well. My next step I believe is the amphur part? But my local one, Hua Hin, can't see us until late February.

My current visa is up February 12th and I would like to try to have this done by then. Is that possible? Or will I need to do a bounce?

Thank you, any help is appreciated

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on completing their marriage paperwork in Thailand before their visa expires on February 12th. They mention a delay at their local amphur in Hua Hin, which can't accommodate them until late February, and ask if there are ways to expedite the process or if they will need to leave the country temporarily ('bounce'). Responses suggest contacting other amphurs for quicker appointments or hiring an agent to assist with the marriage recognition process.

the wedding is done by the Amphur, similar to a registry office in your country, but the interpreter does all of the interpretation on the day.

If anyone knows an agent that can help with this I would appreciate it. The agents I’ve tried to contact don’t deal with the marriage part

You can try calling around to find an amphur that can do it quicker (or more likely having your wife call). Or find an agent that can also facilitate a faster process of getting your marriage recognized. If you're able to get that done before your current stamp expires then you can apply for the 60 day visiting Thai family extension which will give you enough time to apply for the non-O visa.

Trying to avoid Bangkok if I can. But I’ll have that as a plan b.

most Amphur refuse to do it, which is why people use Bang Rak. I am usually opposed to using agents, but this is a situation that is well worth it or you will spend as much travelling back and forth to Bkk and getting interpreters, witnesses, documents translated etc.

I already have all of that done. The interpretation, translations etc. I didn’t think an agent could do the actual “wedding” part? Thought had to be done in person?

@Cris *****
you need an interpreter at the Amphur and at least one Thsi witness.

Ya. I’ve heard Cha am is pretty open. But if I have to do Bangkok so be it.

it's my understanding that at least in Bangkok there are certain amphurs that are known as the ones most foreigners use. I don't have any personal experience though, just what I've read on Facebook groups.

the BangRak amphur at the end of Silom is the most recommended in Bangkok.
