So... I'm on a marriage visa. Doing my new year tomorrow. I know there's that waiting period thing and the house visit. But i leave for the US on the 19th... is this possible to do??

I'm only leaving for about 10 days. So I'm wondering. Can I get my stamp. Leave. Come back and do the other stuff?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, currently on a marriage visa, wants to know if they can complete the necessary immigration steps after leaving Thailand for a short trip to the US. Responses indicate that the immigration office may have flexibility, but it's essential to verify details with them. Usually, a 12-month stamp may not be issued immediately; a 1-month 'under consideration' stamp could be given instead, requiring a re-entry permit for that period.

Normally they won't give you a 12 month stamp immediately but an under consideration stamp for 1 month to give time for the checks etc. You can speak to immigration about the best way to handle it, they may well be flexible enough to accommodate your agenda but as I understand it you need a re-entry permit that just covers you for that under consideration period and nothing else.

That’s something you’ll have to ask your immigration office. They may be willing to accommodate your times, but they may not.

If not then you can apply for a 60 day visit family extension (if you haven’t already done so) to get you to the 19th if needed and then start afresh with a new Non O when you return.
