Visa exempt or tourist visa, you can extend once only. If Covid extension is still available after the initial extension then you can use this.

Most immigration offices are saying you do the 30 day extension before you can get the 60 day Covid extension.

Check your local Thai Embassy, and yes quarantine is compulsory for all inbound passengers.
