Sorry if this question has been asked before. If I come in on a 30-day visitor visa, can I extend it without leaving the country? If yes, How many times can it be extended?

Thanks much ๐Ÿ™

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can extend a 30-day visitor visa (or visa exempt stay) in Thailand without leaving the country. It can typically be extended once for an additional 30 days. However, during the COVID-19 situation, there were provisions for further extensions, potentially allowing up to 60 days with documentation from your embassy. Always check the current regulations, as they may change.

You can extend 30 days and after covid extension 60days with a letter of your embassy......and maybe more ....

Thank you. That clarifies it for me.

Visa exempt or tourist visa, you can extend once only. If Covid extension is still available after the initial extension then you can use this.

I guess the 90-day one is best if Iโ€™m not retirement age.

Visa exempt is now 45 days and can be extended an additional 30 days for 1900b
