Tha advantage of a 12 month extension is it can be renewed year on year for 1900B, you'll need a re-entry permit when you leave (1000B single or 3800B multi-entry) and you'll never need a Visa again as long as you don't miss an extension

@Phil *******
There is no 30 day extension for a Non-O Visa but there is the 60 day Visit Thai Family Extension

Never used Revolut because Wise has always done everything I've needed

If you are legally married to a Thai get a Non-O Visa before you travel then get a 12 moonth extension before your 90 days is up

A Visa for what purpose and for how long?

A re-entry permit can be ontained from an Immigration Office or during departure at an international airport. It costs 1100B (single) or 3800B (multi-entry). It keeps your current status i.e. entry stamp valid while you are out of the country and you get stamped back in with the same date.

Immigration at airports do not transfer stamps, you can only do that at an Immigration Office before departing

nobody mentioned the first year but the 800k only needs to be "tied up" for about 5 months during the first year so not a great financial drain
