The fact that you maxed out your last stay and are now returning relatively soon afterwards will be a red flag to many Immigration Officers. If you come in expecting a Visa Exempt entry stamp all you can do is have the 3 proofs :

- proof of accommodation for at least your first few nights (hotel booking or a letter of invite from a Thai)

- proof of onward travel (international travel ticket leaving Thailand within your initial entry stamp exit by date)

- proof of funds (20,000 Baht or equivalent in any major currency in CASH per individual, or 40,000 for a family)

@Andrew *******
or switch to the 65k monthly transfer method after year 1
Graham ******
There is no such limit but each Embassy makes their own rules on whether or not to issue you with a visa.

@Jeff ******
then you recycle the transferred funds by sending the excess back every few months for subsequent transfers

The OP was saying about potential problems and your response was the ATM fee so it follows you regard that as a problem

@Jeff ******
Why have you maintained the 800k for all these years? Don't you regularly bring money into Thailand to live off because you could have switched to the 65k monthly transfer method a long time ago?

there is no mandatory insurance for the Non-O extension, only for a Non-OA extension

@Robert *********
You can't get a Non-OA from inside Thailand as it has to be in your country of residence but you can also get the Non-O based on income if applying from there
Graham ******
How long are you intending to stay and, more importantly, are you planning on getting the 12 month extension? Also consider if you start again on a Non-O your annual extension will be on the date when that Non-O expires every subsequent year, will that be an issue for you?

@Roberto ********
What you did in the past is irrelevant as "it is not an option now for the first year"
