Passport with nonO , lease agreement, residency cert shd be able to open a bank acct .....try more branches preferably kasikorn or SCB go to those in big shopping malls they're more used to serving foreigners

Try talking to those that provides the fast track services .....they will decide to take your job or not after seeing your stamps in your passport....

Can you top up using a overseas credit card Or link a overseas credit card to pay for purchase? Withdrawing cash to top up the wallet seems troublesome....

If he used to have a nonO extension that expired when he is away.....meaning he is now in thailand on visa exempt....if he still have the 800k in the thai bank acct he can just go to the immigration office and apply for the 90days nonO in thailand and do the 1yr extensions there after

Thanks for sharing and consider you are one of the lucky ones that your embassy does provide affidavit.....my immigration office CW bkk rejects my statement of 12mths deposit as my embassy does not provide affidavit I have only one option which is the 800k bankin method OR im going to relocate and use other immigration office that accept the 12mths statements without the affidavit from my embassy

Good luck when they ask for a last minute interview Or they want to see every page of your passport as extra documents and you are already in thailand....u can kiss goodbye to your application fees

Plan a 2weeks holiday in Vietnam and buy a return ticket which can change date.....its best to have a 800k (equivalent) 3mth bank statement under your name in your home country to apply for the 90days nonO retirement
