Dear All

I am going to apply for Retirement Visa to enter Thailand for 90 days.

After approval is there any window within which I need to enter Thailand or I can enter as per my convenience.

I plan to come after 2 months

Thanks for your attention

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Retirement Visa (Non-O) is valid for 90 days from the date of approval, during which you must enter Thailand. It is advised to enter within this period to complete necessary tasks like securing a property lease and opening a bank account for your future 12-month extension.
NON-O RETIREMENT VISA RESOURCES / SERVICES
  • Go to the Retirement Visa Section for information on requirements, including age restrictions, financial requirements, and necessary documentation.

Read the website of the Thailand embassy in your country, you will find you need to do a lot more research.

You really want to enter the kingdom with 90 days on your visa in order to obtain a lease on a property, open a bank account and apply for your 12 month extension. The bank account is the main concern if you are considering retirement here

your visa is valid for 90 days. You have 90 days to enter Thailand.

When you do enter Thailand with the Non-O visa, you get stamped in for 90 days regardless of how many days your visa is valid for.

baht. If you have knowledge of Thai immigration laws and requirements the skills and language skills and practices you could do it yourself for about 5000 baht and many many hours sitting in immigration especially if you’re in Bangkok, Pattaya

I got your point. I want to use my money to put in the account and not looking help of agent in this area. All I want to do is use the agent to help secure lease, open bank account and do the legwork for extension.

I would appreciate if anyone can suggest a reliable agency for this work.

don't go to Thailand on visa exempt or tv. You will not get a bank account now. Get the non o 90 day at home and go from there.

I came to Thailand on a 30 day no visa and did a 30 day extension and one fly out and returned. I used the 90 days to get the 90 days visa and 12 months retirement extension and got all the boxes filled. It’s not a hard process to do yourself.

sorry you know if they have removed the 60 days of the visa this year 2025 and they will only give the 30 days again

A Non O visa is valid to enter Thailand for 90 days after issue. On entry you’d get 90 days to stay.
