Hi, I got a Bangladesh Passport and am planning to apply DTV from Malaysia.
I was looking up some information about the KL, Penang and Khota Bharu embassies and looks like only KL is available for certain nationalities (including mine).
Anyone can give a decent timeline for applications done thru KL?
I am planning to provide 2 bank account statements merged indicating the total amount seasoned for 3 months+.
I also have an income gap for about 2 months when I was vacationing. But will provide all my last 6 months of income highlighted on bank statements.
I also will need to go the Bangladesh Embassy in Malaysia to get my Employment contract and all that attested I believe.
I'm currently in Thailand prepping documents and awaiting my Malaysia Tourist Visa (if that matters).
I’m planning on coming to Thailand 22 April and applying for a 6 month multi entry visa can anyone advise me how long before my travel date do I need to apply online thanks in advance

I can't express the gratitude for this group and the value of the information we all share. Quality, easy to read documentation and presentation is key. No questions asked. No additional information requested. Approved in 3 days!!!!
Given the retirement visa requirements and time frames would this sound possible ?
May : Apply to embassy in Aus for Visa ( takes upto 6 weeks apparently )
July : Fly over , find long term accommodation ( probably a condo ) 12 month lease , set up bank account and deposit ( 800,000 baht ) wait 60 days in account as required ( will be leaving it in there and using other funds for living ect)
October : Do 90 day reporting
Early December : Fly back to Aus final tidy up final things in Aus and Family catch up ect ( a couple of weeks ) and arrange shipping a few boxes over.
Late December : fly back to Thailand
Main question is how soon after the 90 day reporting can you travel outside of Thailand ? And second part how often are you allowed to ? Cannot get a straight answer on these anywhere 🤦♂️
Yes I have been many times In and will be back in a couple of weeks so might even find a condo then.
Hello, just got approved for Workation Visa from Hanoi! Here’s my timeline and what I included in my application:
•Wednesday 07/01/26 submitted
•Thursday 08/01/26 “Pending Approval”
•Monday 12/01/26 “Approved” ✅
I made cover letters for each section of evidence, explaining my situation, motivations and a list of the documents included. Also, all documents like my contract, letter from employer etc. were electronically signed with the electronic signature receipt using adobe sign.
Financial:
•bank statement 3 months (only had the 500k baht for the most recent 2 months but was very close to it in the 3rd month anyway) with my salary payments highlighted and my ending total highlighted with a conversion into Baht screenshotted from ex.com
Employment:
•my contract and a letter from my employer confirming permission for me to work from Thailand
•screenshot of companies house website confirming the details of the company I work for
•3 months of payslips which correspond with the highlighted sections of my bank statement
Current location:
• my passport stamp page into Vietnam
•Time stamped photo of myself, my hotel key card and my passport
• time stamped photo of myself in front of the hotel lobby
• my flight ticket to Hanoi.
It’s also worth noting that my boyfriend lives in bangkok already and I have a tm30 proving that I have stayed at his condo before and a signed letter from him confirming that I will be staying there during my future visits. In addition, I had a flexible flight to Bangkok from Hanoi, so I mentioned in my cover letter that I am planning to stay in Hanoi until I hear back re my visa and that I can change my flight ticket should there be any delays.
I used this page a lot to help me apply, so thanks to everyone that posts their experiences. Also, there are a lot of trolls on this page who just want to criticise others and spread negativity- ignore them. If you have a valid, justifiable case for applying for the visa and you make your application properly, you will be absolutely fine.
