Jody Dayton Peace dear Jody, the world does not just exist by what you have seen or experienced. And yes I have used Chaengwattana and many other places before. I just obey they law because it is easier than trying "that's what Jody told me" on immigration officers and police.
Jody Dayton Peace your assumption is wrong. All aliens need to be reported when resident in a Thai house. Hotel and similar establishments (usually those who take your passport and scan it) report for you. Otherwise if you have a Tabien Baan you are required to report aliens in residence within 24 hours. Law for a long time.
I am sure I remember signs indicating that you need to have passport, completed TM6 and boarding pass from your incoming flight. I also noticed the last few stamps have the flight number written on them.
Hmmm....so, let me ask a follow up question. What has Thailand not joining a political bloc during the cold war got anything to do with economics today?
I was once stamped in for 30 days visa exempt when I have a valid ME Non O visa. I think it was because I wrote that I only wanted 8 days as I was flying out again to India. As Robert says, it might be up to the IO. But def. put number of days as one. Maybe it was an error I don't know. But also don't put your visa number on the TM6 it might trick them in to giving you a visa exempt entry if your passport allows it.
They can track my wife as much as they want. Maybe they can give me a report on where she is if I lose her. It is for Thai householder so I don't think they can track me any more than they can just turn up at the address if they want to.
