May have been asked before but I can not find an answer.

Can I apply for a Non-O Marriage or raising Thai children in Thailand from being here currently on a visa exempt entry or extension of exempt entry?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can apply for a Non-O Marriage Visa or a Raising Thai Children Visa while currently in Thailand on a visa exempt entry. It’s important to note that most immigration offices may advise you to apply for the marriage visa if you are married to a Thai national. You do not necessarily have to leave Thailand to process your visa application.

Thanks for your answers gentlemen. My previous long stay was Retirement Visa extensions. I also had ME Spouse Visas obtained in Australia and Vietnam. So I am not familiar with other options in country. IO gave me grief this exempt entry while I sort my options out so at least I know that I don't have to leave and wait for a Visa. Good to know my options now.

Most immigration offices will not let you apply for the raising Thai child visa is you're married to a Thai. They will tell you to do your marriage visa.

thanks. I did know that. At the moment I am divorced from the mother of the children. I have not remarried yet. But will probably get married end of May. Just deciding which way to go.

Follow up question to the audience. Am I better to do this in Korat, Surin or Bangkok? Korat is where the marriage is. Surin is where the Thai children are.

You HAVE to do it where your TM30 is registered ie. where you live.
