Just want some peace of mind. Arriving Bangkok next Wednesday night, 3 day stay as tourist. I'm Aussie. I have no visa (not required). Do I simply show immigration my onward flights and they stamp passport and let me through??

TLDR : Answer Summary
As an Australian tourist arriving in Bangkok for a three-day stay without a visa, you need to fill out the TM6 Arrival/Departure card provided on the plane or before immigration checkpoints. Present this card along with your passport at immigration. You may also be asked for proof of onward travel or have cash (20,000 THB or equivalent) available, but it's generally a straightforward process if you have no complicated entry history.

You'll be fine. Don't worry at all.

How many times have you entered Thailand in 2019?

Some Immigration Officers want to see your boarding pass on arrival.

I am sure I remember signs indicating that you need to have passport, completed TM6 and boarding pass from your incoming flight. I also noticed the last few stamps have the flight number written on them.

Yes, the arrival flight from Dubai. I have NEVER been asked for proof of funds or outbound flight details, on Visa Exempt, Tourist Visa or 90 day Non O. I have made over 60 visits since 1996 !

why would they want to see the boarding pass on the flight you just came in on?

Do you mean they want to see proof of your onward travel (like your flight confirmation OUT of thailand)?

IF you aren't living here on back-2-back visa exempt entries or 60 day tourist visa entries or have a crazy extensive entry history to thailand this year you're unlikely to even be asked anything when you stamp in.

Just hand your passport and Tm6 Arrival/Departure card to the people at passport control.

You fill in the TM6 Arrival/departure card you get in the plane or take just before Immigration checkpoints. You hand that over with your passport to the Immigration Officer. If he/she wants to see additional items like the 20.000 Thb or equivalent currency in cash or/and proof of accommodation and/or proof of onward travel you can show them.

or equivalent currency, as long as it is more than 20k cash after calculation of exchange rates is it okay
