book your 2nd ticket from Thailand to the next country you want to go to. It’s better that you book it early as the prices are cheaper. The only snag is it needs to be at 30 days, but you can always change that later. I see that Scoot airline have good prices and a change ticket pricing option if you think you might change the date. Airasia is bad for being expensive with flight changes. You should be more specific on when you are planning for that next country visit though if you want the best advice

After 1000 baht fine for 2 day overstay the difference is 900. Its hardly worth trying to save 900 when if you get picked up while on overstay it can cause a lot more problems than its worth. There were recent reports of some people being picked up in the airport terminal itself before getting to passport control. Safer to get that extension IMO.

How long have you been in Thailand in total over the past year? less than 6 months. If so, easily get another 30+30 days stay by using one of the Thailand Border run companys that take you to one of the borders and get you processed out and back in the country. Beyond that you should be looking at a longer term visa. Another possible option would be to be living in two countries in the area for 1-2 months at a time and alternating between them if Thailand isn't a must for you.
