Those are exactly the 2 I’m asking about. I’m wondering which of the 2 would be best based on the conditions in the OP.

That’s exactly what I was thinking, too. So it’s likely the embassy is going to accept either. That answers my first question...

I once applied for a marriage visa for my Filipina gf (she failed) and remember only needing a clearance from the MI State Police. At any rate, what about the Thai consulate? What are they looking for? Will a DUI conviction prevent you from being granted a visa? I’ve seen a few posts that seem to say if you apply while you’re already in Thailand on a stamp, they go easier on you.

Oh, I see now. I just conflated the 2 types because that’s what they do at the Chicago consulate website description. Well, other than the “O-A” in parenthesis...

I DO qualify. Why wouldn’t I? So, now that I’ve ruled out a TV, what are the pro/cons of these 2 non-O’s...?

I don’t- but it still seems like the best way to handle it with my circumstances.

Yeah, it IS easier to get initially, but I don’t really need a lot of multiple entry options since I’ll be bugging out every 6 mos, anyway.
