I did one for a friend of mine and his partner a couple of years ago. I live in Thailand, as did they, so the application was submitted from here. I believe the cost was about AU$ 7900 with no agents fees, as I did it. If you can work your way around the bureaucracy, and the not user friendly online application, it’s doable yourself.

Weird, but thanks for the information. I will type mine in both colours next time, just in case. 555

Can't remember what colour ink I used for that, you may have a good point.

I always type it, using the online TM7 word document and then print it. As a consequence it is completed in black and that has never been questioned. That is at Hua Hin immigration.

I transfer from the UK to my Kasikornbank account using Wise and they do not charge a fee. Previous international transfers, prior to using Wise, incurred a 500 baht fee, so it’s another saving.

Try contacting this company. I have medical and vehicle insurance through them since I moved here 12+ years ago. They speak English.

That’s the crux of the matter, if you have extra insurance, that you take out, rather than just the compulsory insurance, which you get when you tax the motorcycle. I am not sure what that says. It’s something I would check.

You had a great experience. Mine, in Hua Hin, is different. One experience and I won’t go into too many details, involved a friend who had a heart attack, that necessitated a stay in ICU for a couple of weeks, if I remember correctly. Initially they wouldn’t even admit him until a person accompanying him handed over 30K THB!

Really? Maybe they thought you were Thai. BKK hospital normally check your insurance, credit rating and anything else they can think of, before they shaft you. Without insurance I wouldn’t go anywhere near a BKK hospital.
