I came here to say the same thing! It has to do with blood type! I get bitten by mosquitos, but the best repellent I have found, is staying close to my husband. 😂 Given the choice of the two of us, they much prefer him! 🤣

I was just thinking that the tourist visa would need to be first since you can't apply for a tourist visa from inside the Thailand. But I'm still learning so I could be totally confused! 😉

does it matter which you do first? Like, could you come on a tourist visa (60 days), and then extend once (30 days), and then come in visa exempt and extend once (60 days) and then do the 2 land border crossings (60 days)? So essentially buying you 210 days?

dang! I thought the purpose of having to prove you have enough funds in the bank, was to avoid non-citizens from taking jobs away from locals. I have the funds, but am not yet 50 years old.

ok! Thank-you! You seem so knowledgeable about all of this, so I'm going to ask another question. What kind of long term visa should I be looking to get? I am starting to doubt that I want to do an education visa. I will likely still take classes, but the ED visa seems somewhat limiting and I want to be able to take my time choosing my courses and I don't necessarily want to be tested by immigration in order to remain in the country. I am a good student, but I do not test well under pressure.

is there a limit to the number of times you can do either of these border runs?
