As I understand it from Ubon (so might be different, but unlikely), is you get your last negative test result the day before you come out of ASQ, and you go directly to the airport, fly to Khon Kaen. If you're queried you show the test result and your ASQ booking. And you're ok. No quarantine

Dhanushka Perera. If you're an "alien" you need passport. It's only if you're travelling with a Thai that hotels can circumnavigate the need to submit a TM30, as hotels are not required to report a Thai national.

If the hotel does it, then the chances are you will need to do it on your return. I try these days to avoid handing over my passport to hotels for this very reason. The smaller hotels are more than happy to take my lady's Thai ID and copy that. It saves them work. Try that angle

Just one thing I read recently (how true this is I don't know). A guy went for the retirement extension - English guy - who uses the 65k/month method. Had all the necessary bank transfer documents, bank book, foreign transfer letter from the bank. The IO wanted to see his pension income statements from the UK, so he had to make a return visit after having got these from his pension fund. I wish I'd bookmarked the comment because I've not been able to find it. I did my last extension in January and didn't need this, but it might be worthwhile just getting your pension statement printed just in case. Perhaps others in this group may have had similar experience?

Different offices use different forms. If convenient call in at your immigration office and pick one up. Otherwise just fill it in when you go for the extension. There's another form some offices use which advise that you are aware of overstay penalties. They'll ask you to sign that too

Mahin Daye. If the application is mailed via EMS, you can track it and you know exactly when it arrives. You mail it 14 days before due date. Take a photo of the form, the addressed envelope to CW with the EMS sticker attached, and a close-up of the sticker. About two days after posting check the tracking on EMS. If it's been delivered already, take a screenshot of the tracking information. You have everything you need. Sit on it until you get the receipt back, which can take 4-6 weeks. In the meantime, don't listen to "this happened to me" stories on Facebook. You've done it right, so don't worry

So I'm guessing your current stamp expires July 22? So your next stamp will expire October 20. As the last date for extension is September 30, that is only 20 days before your expiry, so you can go to immigration to apply. Whether they give you the final 90 days from September 30, which will take you to December 29, or whatever they'll tack the 90 onto your stamp, which will take you to January 19, I think will depend on what side of the bed the IO got out of the day you attend immigration. It's impossible to say as there appear to be no hard and fast rules relating to the STV, but I think you'll be right up to December 29
