What is the process for bringing pets to Thailand, especially dogs, and is there a recommended YouTube video?

A couple did a you tube video of their experience bringing their dog(s) to Thailand. Does anyone know the link to that? Need to know the exact process once we arrive with our two shih-tzus next week! I remember that video was good but cant find it now. Anyone else travel recently with pets and know the process and timing?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A couple is seeking a link to a YouTube video they recall that details the process of bringing their two shih-tzus into Thailand. Comments from other users provide helpful insights into the procedures at immigration, including paperwork, customs processes, and the importance of having a local agent like Relo4paws for the import process. Participants also emphasize the need for a valid health certificate, proper vaccinations, and microchipping for pets. Additionally, one user shares their positive experience with the local Livestock & Animal Import office in Phuket.

Where are you coming from? Your medicine and vaccines must be about 1 month away take etc. You find everything from your country website when you Google.

we arrived a few years ago on a direct flight from Singapore to Phuket and the authorities here i think its called the Livestock & Animal Import office in Phuket were so friendly and helpful. you will need a valid health travel certificate for your pets it cannot be more then a few days old when you arrive. micro chip so they can scan and confirm right pets. all vaccinations and paper work. we used a pet transport company and was simple and easy. good luck.

Indeed! Well put, this dog project prolly costs as much as a poor Thai family could exist on for 3 months.

Still, I can't talk, I've spent plenty of money over the years on useless persuits. . . 🙄

I have too but sometimes it rankles me. So oblivious.

You need a local agent because you can’t take dogs to quarantine. Relo4paws helped us and I highly recommend. He can explain the whole process but do it ASAP. I hope you’re not American because there may not be time to get the USDA clearance by next week.
Ben ********
Oh yes. Your process should be much easier

We flew ANA, bring some Tape if you can so you can tape the leash, water, and bag of kibble to the outside. Plus they wanted us to close the kennel with zip ties

It was pretty easy for us last night. Didnt really delay the process much, as it already takes 30-60 minutes to do all the quarantine paperwork, and the dog was waiting at luggage by the time we got out

It’s been a few months since I arrived but I can tell you. When you get thru immigration someone will escort you to where you need to go process the paperwork and pay customs. Then they will escort you to the ASQ car/van. At that point you can have family, friend or dog hotel come get them from you. And you take off for your fun quarantine. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

I’m thinking g maybe 30 minutes.

also how do you know where to tell the dog transport people where to go?

@Joanne ****************
I told my niece to ask the hotel where they park and she waited by the ASQ van.

thank you! Do you remember how long it took? Was it hours? Our hotel is asking because the van will only wait so long for us.
