We had to take proof of residency (TM30) to immigration plus copies of our passport and visa page. You can get it all done there, but it just saves time going with your own copies.

Pranburi. We had to a form with photo on at immigration in HH ( not Bluport) plus the medical (100 baht). He then took both forms plus his passport,IDP and UK licence and was issued with both licences within half an hour. ( He got the 2 forms from immigration - one for car and one for motorbike) and a photo for each. I think we had to go back for these forms 2 days later. It really was a simple process for him.

If you are here for longer than 3 months, your IDP becomes invalid. You therefore have to apply for a Thai licence. My husband did so, last week. He had his IDP and UK licence with him, plus passport. He now has 2 separate Thai driving licences, one for motorbikes and one for a car. On the other hand, although I had my IDP with me ( you also need a medical, which is cheap and easy to get), because I had my UK licence stolen on 01.01.24, despite having a report from the Thai police giving this information, I had to do a full day's training followed by a practical and theory test on the following day. I got my Thai licence yesterday, after passing both.

that's what I'm trying to do, but if I only get 30 days in Myanmar , we'll still have to leave Thailand again...I think. Thank you 👍

thank you; I know that already, but I'm not convinced that they're going to give us the required 60 day stamp! I honestly thought it would be quite a simple process. Will wait and hear from the agent. Otherwise I think we'll just try our luck tomorrow morning....by going ourselves etc. That might work...

but we're here until the end of April,so still need to leave the country as we can only do one more 30 day extension back in Hua Hin. You're only allowed 2 per year I believe, although,as our last one was in December, technically this is now a new year ! I honestly don't know what to do for the best....but thank you for your help.
