Presume you're applying for O-A? The criminal check is done in your own country, then you submit that in your application. In the UK, we have DBS for checks. There was no requirements for a Thai record check for our O-A.

I've got 1st class for 150cc through Tick insurance in Thailand with MSIG. Not many companies insure small bikes 1st class.

My wife was in same situation, she had to go on Non B for 90 days, then moved to spouse on my Non O. This was done via Thai agent and our immigration office.

We had already tried the merry go round of KL - refused, Phnom Penh - refused. We were told to go to KL or PP by our immigration office. So we wasted about £2k doing this and still had to pay an agent.

Once she turned 50, we both got our own O-A from UK.

I belive in the UK, you can only get spouse visa on Non O-A. It is the only visa that specifies you can apply for it. The Non O does not mention it.

Can't help with visa advice but try to go to Ko Chang and Koh Phayam. Beautiful quiet islands, especially Chang.

I don't really understand why you need an intermediary at all, unless you're having driving lessons and they accompany you.

Our friends had to do a test for theirs but it was very basic and both passed first time as they already drove a car and rode a scooter.
