on the 1 year extension. I thought I red somewhere in the past that you can just stay on a non-O. I would prefer this as the job might be a precarious position and I don't want to go through the all visa thing again if things don't work out

that's correct! 90 day single entry non-O. This will then be extended for 1 year. My non-O is based on my wife employment with a Bangkok school.

The school prepared all documents but as far as I remember these were the 3 main things for my visa:

- Letter from Employer requesting my visa

- Employment contract of my wife

-Marriage certificate

Thanks a lot guys and Tod Daniels would you know if I need 400K in the bank to apply for Non-O based on my wife work permit?I am not sure if this apply to all non-O based on marriage or to just the one based on marriage to Thai citizen.

is this non-O based on marriage to Thai or to a foreigner working in Thailand? I wonder if this also apply for the latter case
