Hello. Yesterday started treatment for implants. Will have more preparation work done in 2 weeks, 2 weeks later flying back to home country. Where will apply for a DTV - Visa. The pictures shown. Would this be sufficient proof for Thai Embassy when applying.

DTV Approved today via Jakarta

Soft Power Muay Thai

- Sat Feb 15 submitted Application

- Mon Feb 17 processing documents

- Wed Feb 19 changed to pending approval in the morning, then approved by 6:00 p.m. same day

DOCUMENTS:

- Photo of passport + digital selfie

- Documentation + schedule from Muay Thai gym

- 6 months of bank statements, over 500K TB

- Photo of entry stamp in passport for Indonesia + photo of boarding pass

- Booking confirmation, address and phone number of local Indo accommodation

Used iLovePDFs to consolidate all the documentation

NOTE of encouragement for older women:

I'm almost 60 years old and was a bit concerned about applying via Muay Thai.

I asked the gym owner if he had any women members over 55.

In fact he has quite a few including a woman who is 79 so this was very encouraging for me.

I'm really looking forward to learning Muay Thai!

Initially I was going to pay an agent to help process the visa but I'm very glad that I did this myself.

Thank you to all the thoughtful members who have shared their experience to help others

Good Luck Everyone, Cheers

Hello

Can someone explain the difference in a Non O and a Non AO visa please?

It seems a lot less hassle applying for a Non O as don't need police check or insurance.

I'm 57 so hoping the Non O is the way to go.

I don't have a bank account and can see from other posts that it not possible to get on in visa exempt now.

With a Non O visa is it an easy process to open a Bank account to convert it to 12m?

Thanks

Hello everyone!

I’m preparing to apply for the DTV visa at the end of January in Hanoi.

I’ve been living in Thailand for 5 years, and my bank account with a 500k baht balance is in a Thai bank.

Would this be an issue? Has anyone successfully applied using a Thai bank to prove the balance?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Hello everyone! If I have an annual membership with Virgin Active gym, can I apply under Soft power category (sports training) or does it have to be Muay Thai only? I have sent a letter to a gym but no reply yet. Thanks

Has anyone applied DTV using Thai Company Registration where you are a director/shareholder of that company?

I am aware that DTV is not a substitute for Non-B visa or a Work Permit.

Hi all, seems like Vientiane has opened few additional slots for visa application next week! And I have managed to secure a slot, do you think if I can apply for the DTV visa directly and anyone know how long will it take for it to be approved? I’m planing to apply with a Muay Thai class in Chiangmai.
