Help! I am on a visa run and couldn't make it back to pick up my passport and visa on the second day. Does anybody know if I can just pick it tomorrow or will I have to go through the whole two day process again?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster (O/P) was inquiring whether they could collect their passport and visa a day later than the expected pick-up date and if they would have to restart the visa application process. Several commenters shared their experiences, with one noting that they were allowed to pick up their visa a day late without issues, while another mentioned that missing the collection date typically results in cancellation of the visa in other locations like Vientiane. Ultimately, the O/P confirmed that they successfully collected their visa without any problems.

Okay, because it appears the thread is de-volving :O AND the fact that the O/P was able to get their passport with the visa in it and it wasn't canceled, I think this topic has run it's course. ;)

Just curious what visa did you apply for and what documentation were you asked to provide to them?
, so no proof of 20K baht in a bank account or anything?

Update: I got my visa no problems. Went at 9am and they said it's no problem I was a day late, just to come back at 1:30-3pm.
I'm guessing it's different from Vientiane bc 1) I paid upfront when submitting the documents, and 2) the Thai embassy in Myanmar isn't a visa factory for foreigners, so it is far easier to deal with the occasional forgotten passport.
Just FYI, in case anyone finds themselves in a similar situation.
Try not to, though ๐

Not sure around here but in London I went to pick it up after 3 days and was fine.

For shame! Why can't the embassy/consulate just bring it to the poor person and then hold their hand to help them to their transport out of the country? Take some personal responsibility folks. ๐ฌ

Isn't there any way to call to consulate to seek advise from them? If no one knows workaround...
, I understand that. Still if you inform "in advance", sometimes you might be able find alternatives. Of course not for visa maybe. But that's why I wondered.

Face it, they hafta show up at the consulate at some point to get their passport so they can leave burma ;) I bet they'll find out then :)

The very few people I know of who are in your situation have had their visa canceled and needed to apply again. :/
Let us know what happens. Good Luck

If in Vientiane, they have it clearly marked on the paper that if you miss the collection date. They will cancel the visa. Then you need to do the whole process again.

Shame man. I really hope it is no problem. Let us know. Would be good to hear what happens
