This might have been asked before but i searched and could not find the answer.

If I apply for DTV e-visa in my country, still waiting for answer but my flight is coming up.

Is it ok to enter on the 60days exempt and then do a visa run after 60days re-entering with DTV?

and can it be at a border or do I need to fly out and back?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether they can enter Thailand using the 60-day visa exemption while awaiting approval for a DTV e-visa, and if it's possible to make a visa run after the 60 days, particularly regarding the method of re-entry (crossing a land border vs. flying out and back). Comments from other users suggest waiting for the visa approval before entering, as entering on a 60-day exemption could risk cancellation of the visa application.

Normally you should wait till it is approved, that is why the advice is not to buy flight tickets before the visa is arranged.

There is a small risk your visa application is cancelled when you are not in the country you applied anymore.

Basically what the other guy said except the 3-10 day part.
