What are the requirements for obtaining a Multiple Non-Immigrant O Visa based on marriage in Savannakhet?

Non-Immigrant Type O

If you do have to show finacial proof what do they want monthly or a lump sum in your account and how much is a pass?

I needed finacials when applying through Liverpool Consulate who passed it on to London July 2016

I have never needed to show it for a non o visa based on marriage in London. That's all I can say.

For your information in London the building is attached but separate. You have to walk down some narrow flighted stairs . It's completely cut off from the embassy although it's still part of the embassy building. I know might sound strange hope everyone understands

You use the consular services section. Now it might be in the actual area where the embassy is or it could be a stand alone building like hull, and savannakhet are.

, they did change the rules and stopped hull from issuing those year-long, mutil entry non-o's based on marriage. Now they all go thru London, BUT it most definitely doesn't take a week to get that visa from them..:/

I concur with other posters as far as dressing smartly at Savannakhet, they won't care in the least. You either provide the documentation they require to get the visa or they won't accept your application..

nope, there are no financial requirements when you're 'piggy-backing' onto a foreign spouse because they legally work here. The company they work for writes a letter stating they know you're getting an extension tied to your spouse and it's okay.

I don't know if you can get the 90 day Non-O issued inside the country at the immigration office OR if you'd have to go to a thai consulate to apply for one AND then get the yearly extension at the immigration office after that,

Thanks a lot guys and Tod Daniels would you know if I need 400K in the bank to apply for Non-O based on my wife work permit?I am not sure if this apply to all non-O based on marriage or to just the one based on marriage to Thai citizen.

I don't know of ANY thai consulate in the area which will issue a year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa based on being the spouse of a foreigner legally working here.

All you'll get is a 90 day single entry Non-O, then you go to the immigration office and they'll give you an extension of stay that's sync'd with your spouse's. In essence you "piggy-back" onto their extension.

I'm sure the latter is more complicated :)

Is it still true that if you are 65 or over you only have to show state pension statement for a multi O in the UK Thai Embassy?

I have had multiple non o visa for 7yrs in a row,i have proof of marriage never been asked about money...thats been in the Uk at Thai Royal Consulate Cardiff

Is this only at Sav or everywhere? Again I was under the impression you needed x00,000 baht in bank

Yes it does take about a week if you send from Hull. They need to forward to London and post back. But this is not what you said. If you apply directly in London it takes 2 days.

please explain. In London you submit one day ( e.g. Monday)and pick it up the next (e.g Tuesday between 11 and 12) I've never heard it taking 1 week. Please elaborate. If you submit on Friday you will have to wait until the following Monday. One week plz give details

Well, I got mine in Hull Thai consulate just before the rules changed last September. You can get another one at the London Thai consulate but it can take up to a week to get it. I was going to go back to England myself but no point as it'll be easier and cheaper going to Laos

you can't get another none immigrants o visa in England now because they've changed the rules and made it more stricter, but apparently its easy in savannakhet

Think I'd just rather get a flight into savannakhet lol

Can't really be bothered with Overnight buses lol I'm not going til about October time but I'll have to check again cos many Laos and Thai holidays in October

I think only Lao airlines flies to Savannakhet from Bangkok. :/
