Anonymous participant Yes the landlord is legally obliged to register you. Depending on location I have had a paper based form for my passport or just a digital pic of the completed report. These have been provided by agent.

There is no slip put in any passport about when you have to do 90 day report upon entry. When you have completed a 90 day report you get a piece of paper and it shows when next is due

Embassy would not issue METV instead of a DTV out of compassion. These decisions are technical or process orientated. Embassy would be interesting. We know Japan has done this a few times.

3) you can do 14 days before the 90 or up to 7 days after. You have a window. It does not have to be exactly on day 90

No. New passport new number. The old one is cancelled and that number along with it.
