Hey!

Hello, I would like to apply for the DTV visa in Thailand. I am a digital nomad and have a US LLC for my work. Currently, there are no official regulations on how much money one should have in the bank—so is it also possible to present invested funds such as ETFs or stocks? Also, do I need to somehow legitimize or register my US LLC for Thailand? Could someone share their experiences and give tips on what kind of financial proof is needed to ensure the process goes smoothly? Thank you!:)

Hello everyone,

I am gathering all the documents to apply for the DTV, but there is something that concerns me. I plan to apply as a Business Owner, but the issue is that I created my company (a US LLC) only three months ago. I am still in the product development phase, so I currently have no income.

Although I can provide a cover letter explaining my situation, a guarantee that I will work 100% online, and the Certificate of Incorporation proving ownership, I cannot provide tax filings or an income statement.

Will this be cause for rejection? I can compensate with the financial proof part, as I have well over 3M THB in savings, but I am not sure if that solves the issue. I will be applying at the Madrid embassy.

Many thanks!

Hey looking for recommendations for a decent Accountant that has experience with Digital Nomads.

I’m a UK registered sole trader working 100% online, but also looking to register my business in another country with better tax rates/benefits if anybody has any knowledge on the matter. Thanks!

VISA ADVICE

Hi everyone,

Knowing your expertise, I’d really appreciate your advice on my situation, best practices, and any feedback you can share.

I want to apply for a DTV Workation Visa.

I’m Spanish and I own a US LLC (Solo owner) where I build sales systems for coaching/courses businesses on social media , operrating only on the Spain market.

Here’s my financial setup:

* I don’t pay myself a salary. No payslips.

* I mainly use the LLC account for bigger expenses (rent, big bills, etc.) and only transfer small amounts occasionally to my personal account for daily expenses.

* Currently, the LLC account has around €4.5k liquid cash available And regular transfers and payments from clients.

* In my personal account, I just added THB 560,000 as proof of funds, i have regular daily expenses there that i can show in my statement for 6 months.

* The LLC receives €4–7k monthly, all of which I can prove with invoices issued to clients.

* At the end of each month, the LLC balance is usually around €1–2k because I reinvest most of the income.

* I am the sole owner of the US LLC, but I’m Spanish.

👉 Do you have any recommendations to increase the chances of approval? For the financial side i plan to show my personal account with the ending balance of 560k THB + My Biz account with regular transactions and income + Client bills proof.

👉 For those who submit client contracts, do you also translate them? If so, how?

👉 I won’t apply in Spain as have slow bureaucracy, but in Asia (Jakarta / Manila / …).

Thanks in advance for any input 🙏

for every people who applied the DTV visa after the 1st January, and who are US LLC business owner or Hong Kong LTD business owner.

Can you tell me what "Employment contract or employment certificate [...]" you've uploaded to get your application approved?

Thank you

Hi, I'm planning to apply for the DTV in Thailand next year. My current situation is that I am self-employed with my Italian company, but I'm looking to transition to a US LLC in order to be able to live and work in Thailand legally, as it is not allowed to have both tax residency in Thailand and a VAT number in Italy at the same time.

My question is: If I create the LLC but don’t have a substantial “background” with it (since I'm creating for the purpose of relocating), is it still acceptable for the DTV application? I do have a business background in Italy with my VAT number, but I need to make this change to comply with the regulations.

I would appreciate any insights or advice on how this thing might affect my application.

Thank you in advance!

I'm a German national without permanent residency and want to apply for a DTV through their website.

The only thing that I worry about is the last part "Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status."

I have a US LLC through which I sell online coaching and writing services.

What would be best to supply there? I have:

* proof that the US LLC is registered in my name

* past invoices from clients

* I could write a certificate in the name of the company to prove I can work remotely

* a website that's currently offline but would be easy to set to live

Anything else I could/should include?

Thanks!
