if you really do need to travel in October then my advice would be to put all your documentation together for your application (minus the bank statement and letter that can only be done on the day of application). At the same time make an appointment for after your planned return date but before 1st November.

You can then enjoy your travels with only your bank statement and letter to do on the day.

If you are going to be leaving it until the very last minute it will be worth clarifying if you need Thai referees, either to accompany you when you apply or be available when you have a home visit.

Best of luck.

my immigration office is Phetchaburi. I also had completed 2 extensions based on retirement.

in that case my advice would be to appeal that decision as it is most definitely wrong. In my own case that I detailed above I was happy to go around the houses slightly to get to get to the result I wanted.

had given me exactly the same advice as he gave here.

I can fully endorse

approach. In my particular case at Phetchaburi immigration I went from extending on being over 50 to a 60 day visiting my Thai wife. I then extended for the full year due to being married to a Thai national.

The important thing for me was just follow what my immigration office said and everything worked out fine.

you are correct. I just witnessed this myself last week. I was in our immigration office late in the day extending my visa. The applications get bundled up, one copy stays at the immigration office and the other is sent to Bangkok.

there arm many translation agencies that will translate and get that translation verified at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs on your behalf for a small fee. My advice would be if you have any official documents that have your name in Thai on them, along with you to your translation service. That may be business or ownership documents. Surprisingly there are multiple ways in Thai to translate a name. If you have different spellings of the same name on different documents you will have issues later down the line.

I am sorry to hear about your missfortune. You weren't the first and unfortunately you won't be the last.

Hope everything works out for you.

a good friend of mine used this hotel and was very impressed with it. He paid a little extra for a river view.

On his final evening the hotel prepared him a special meal.

under normal conditions you have plenty of time because you don't need to isolate in an ASQ for 15 days.
