Sponsor letter normally refers to dependant’s who are family members of somebody already got a DTV. You can’t expect a child to have a bank with 500 K. That’s why it states that the DVT holder needs to be responsible paying their living costs.

If you husband got a DTV without money in bank - but with a sponsorship letter stating a relative will foot the bills - then that’s different matter.

If that was the case think embassy didn’t interpret the rules correctly and you got lucky.

Don’t believe this post - DTV VISA you must have proof of 500k baht in bank.

Cannot believe any embassy would except a sponsor as proof of funds bull 💩 😀 - every man and his dog would be applying for a five year visa with no income if their own.

ive already advised to open a "Thai" Currency Jar...so your wise account is in baht.....you can then pay using QR codes ....which is what a thai bank account allows you to do....should try it ....its dead easy...

you don’t know how to to use the wise account properly - you should ADD a currency for Thai baht.

Send money from home country account to this balance yes may take a few hours.

Once you have the funds you can 1/ use the QR codes to pay for almost everything 2/use the green card itself to pay contactless in big stores.

Only thing you cannot avoid in the ATM fee- unless you go in bank with passport and withdraw baht
