TLDR : Answer Summary
The user applied for a DVT visa the day before flying from the UK to Thailand and is facing a request from the embassy for additional documentation, including a ticket for departure from Thailand to the UK and proof of exit stamp. They seek advice on how to fulfill these requirements while unsure about the leaving documentation part.

The visa costs over £300. It sounds like you don’t need one as you get stamped in for 60 days at a time. They probably know when you got stamped into Thailand from passport number.

wait for ETA to be launched and you will see how automatically you will get denied ETA if you’re staying too much on visa exemption 🤣

It seems like you can not send any additional documents until you've gone back home plus bought tickets for your next flight back to Thailand.

From your email that you received from Thai Embassy in London requesting additional documentation, it seems either:

1.) they suspect or know that you submitted a Thai E-Visa application in Thailand = asking about departure flights exit out of Thailand and departure exit stamps by Thai immigration....

or

2.) you had submitted a Thai E-Visa application to the Thai Embassy in London, but they suspect or know that you are no longer in the UK and asking about departing flights exit out of the UK....

If applied through Evisa you must be in the UK and provide your actual ticket into Thailand from the UK .

So, send them a copy of your BKK-UK boarding pass if you have it, and copy of your exit stamp from Thailand. Did you fly from Thailand to the UK to apply, and then leave for Thailand?

we have been back in UK for a few months. So do we send them the current flights going to UK to BKK and then show them our last trip departure details?
Wannikea *********
Anonymous participant not very clear about laying out a clear chronological timeline. Why not start there, wherever there was, and step by step tell your story.

Anonymous participant - You were supposed to stay in UK until the visa was issued. They are expecting you to show your last boarding pass from Thailand to UK, which sounds like it was a few months ago and then they want to see the ticket you will use to fly from the UK to Thailand once your visa is issued.

So are they expecting/requiring you to be in UK before they issue the DTV?

@Greg *******
there's no mention about having to be in UK before DVT is issued

Anonymous participant I know. That is why I am asking regarding the post

You should have stayed in the UK UNTIL they act on the DTV visa application.

we weren't planning on getting any visa as we always take short trips (2-4 weeks) to Thailand about 2-3 times a year

We just decided to apply for the DVT day before as spur of the moment to see if we could get it. Whether we get DVT or not will not stop us from going on holiday
