maybe i should have said some countries rather than most. It would also depend on circumstances, for a renewal where you have both the old and new passports and not issued via Embassy, i received no letter and wasn't required to produce one at CW when i moved my stamps last time. So if the OP has one then he should produce it when he goes for the swap, but if he wasnt issued with one its probably a waste of time worrying about it.

most countries no longer issue a letter for renewal passports.

when you have the stamp moved, you also get a stamp detailing the original visa type, so you can just file the old passport and carry the new one.

the auto gates are only available for exit, you still need to go through the normal process for Entry and will receive a stamp.

the only people who dont know, are those who haven't taken the time to visit the relevant government Tax web sites and understand the changes implemented last October and revised in November. Everything has been published already. The impact will depend on your home country and any DTA's that are in place (which are different by country). Most people will carry on as now and not be impacted as they have never put themselves into the Thai tax system, this doesnt mean there is no tax lability, just the taxman hasnt got round to checking your obligation on monies remited to Thailand (and hopefully never will). But if you have payed more tax in your home country than would be due in Thailand on the money remitted and/or there is a DTA in place covering the source income there should be no change.

yes, i stand corrected, i thought i read late April. You will have 90 days from when you return to get the stamps moved.

Dont know why its there, but pretty sure you can leave it blank. Also in the stay To field should be left blank if you havent got a defined stay, (hotels use it for booked nights). The TM30 will expire on that date.

Looking at the timescales mentioned, 60 days ago and late April, i believe there is a 90 day report due before you travel. You must have the stamps moved (as Ellie mentioned in option1), before you can do that, and have registered a new TM30 against the new passport no first. Do the stamp move and then the 90 day report in one visit (2 ques).

Tod, the dates dont make sense though, 45 days before Apr 25th is more or less now, the 30 day consideration period is between application and issue, so a new extension (and rentry permit if requested) should have been issued by end of April, any May travel would be fine. So no need for reentry permit during the consideration period, just one post the approval.

no need to go to immigration. Work with the owner to set up an online account for the property, (share the login info), so that you can print out a new pdf after each entry to country, so you dont have to report to the owner each time for him to do it, or spending time at immigration. But its unlikely you will need it if your not in country for more than 90 days or not dealing with the government. But best to get a copy of the initial one.
