TLDR : Answer Summary
The best way to bring your Thai wife to the UK is by applying for a Visitor Visa, allowing her to stay for up to six months. Applications can be made through the VFS Global in Thailand. It's advised to provide substantial proof of ties to Thailand, such as property ownership and employment, to support the application. A thorough application process and supporting documents improve chances of approval, often leading to rejections at first attempts. For long-term stays, consider a Spouse or Settlement Visa, which requires meeting financial and English language requirements.

How much did you buy her for mate ?

I think the quickest way would be by aeroplane,

wot u tink

Vile and disgusting racial discrimination. People from say Singapore or Japan can get visas no problem. Surely it's the right of a UK citizen to invite family or friends to visit their home country but no not unless you are loaded
Mike **********
A plane is quickest

Cross over to Cambodia by land and then fly from Cambodia to France.

There is only one way to apply YOU MUST START here, all an agent will do is fill in the form

Would you be willing to stay in Thailand. I brought my EX from Costa Rica to the States. She went full woke and left me when she got her green card.
John *******
The easiest way to see your wife is for you to go back to her trust me you can take a girl out of thailand But you can not take thailand out of the girl thank me later
Bruce *********
@John ******
Never take them back to your country. They will find out how much there options are better when they see the other guys.
Brian *******
@John ******
Really? That actually sounds like a positive to me. My ex got Americafied.
John *******
@Brian ******
well you just told the story your ex lol

@John ******
She is not Thai, Central America. I think that is common here, so it was good to hear about Thai women...I think.
John *******
@Brian ******
yeah my reference to the post was that sometimes you have to put things in to hard basket most indo Asian countries welcome us foreigners with greetings but our native country make life so hard for our partners to even visit and we wonder why we are judged harshly but if you arrive by canoe or boat you will receive free board and lodgings and eventually all government benefits but that's life if you are honest you get nowhere and the rich only get richer

100% Even though she can kiss my ass, she did everything the right way. Didn't just waltz right over. It's ridiculous man.

Easier simply to apply for a standard visitor visa. Being married is a plus, but you need to show she has more reason to return to Thailand than to stay in UK. I got my partner a standard visitor visa (6 months) first time. She is now coming to the end of her 2 year visitor visa and will apply for either a 5 year or 10nhear visitor visa next time. Makes things so much easier coming and going at will rather than waiting on a decision each and every time

Took my gf last year , she never wants to go again 😂

Happy man

She had a 6 month visa hated it after 8 days so we came back 😂
Geo ******
First off keep every picture and letter or other form of communications you ever had with her. Your chances will increase greatly if she has good reason to come back to Thailand...ie. She owns a house, has a child not going with her, owns land. Has a decent level of education, has a job and a letter from her employer stating she has time off due. Has a bank account.with savings...if on the other hand she worked in a bar and has none of the above...don't waste your time

Go to Gov.uk website and it takes you through a series of questions, in essence you have 2 options a visitor visa which I believe is 6 months or apply for permanent status which can be very protracted.
Michael *******
Did it last year for my girlfriend. Came for 6 months. Lots of paperwork. Submitted loads of relationship evidence. Bank statements. Pictures. Quick trip up to tandy building. Biometric scan/ fingerprints. Handed in our 2 inch thick file. 2 weeks later passport returned by courier! Hey presto! Stamped up to go! Best of luck!🤞

Key visa use a agency
Stuart ***********
Whatever you do, don't pay a Thai visa agent to go through the process. They cannot bribe anybody and know as much or less about the process than you do. Read the guidelines and provide all of the evidence requested and more, also put it in a logical order with an index. Good luck.
Oliver ********
@Stuart **********
sounds like alot of hassle for the sake of a holiday - surely the point of hiring an agent is to avoid reading the guidelines, indexing the documents, etc
Stuart ***********
@Oliver *******
you still need to prepare everything even if using an agent, so it's just as easy to do it yourself. I read a post by someone recently stating they had used an agent and they asked them to provide all sorts of nonsense (the agent clearly didn't know the process), obviously they were unsuccessful and just wasted their money. I would prefer to read the rules and prepare it myself so that I know it's correct. Using a Thai person for a UK process is a silly idea IMO, but if people want to waste money and fail that's up to them.

6 month tourist visa was the easiest we found to do 🙏

If it’s a tourist visa for a short term visit it’s an easy process. There is an online form with UK immigration. You can get a standard visitor visa that will allow get to stay up to 6 months per visit. You can get a 6 month 2 year 5 year or 10 year visa. These are multi entry visa’s that allow multiple visits of up to 6 months at a time. You will need to upload various documents, proof of address and employment in Thailand , passport, proof of address in UK, letter from host or sponsor and proof of funds.

Once the fee varies depending on length of visa. Once you submit the application and pay the fee your wife will need to go to VFS global office in Thailand , there are several , she will need to hand over her passport and have her biometrics taken. They will also scan any documents you want to submit for a fee. Once visa is granted she goes back to VFS global to get her passport.

It’s a very simple process and an agent is not necessary. If you are wanting her to live in Uk I have a friend who is a UK based immigration lawyer, but it’s a difficult and lengthy process.

Best you find a UK group about getting visa to UK, there you will find more accurate and specifik information.

Wait until 2025 she can fly over and get a tourist visa on arrival for 30 days, not sure when in 2025 it starts

Actually it was discussed very recently by David Cameron & the Thai Prime Minister to facilitate easier visa access to the UK for Thai Nationals, along with a discussion about the probability of a free trade agreement.

Tourist visa with you as sponsor. Dead easy , as long as you follow all the rules my girlfriend got her first go as we provided all info in detail.

Reasons for her to return - land and business

Evidence of relationship for last 3 years - used holiday pics

My financial position to support

Snowed em under with paperwork and evidence and worked a treat. 2nd and onward visa haven't been an issue and no longer need extra paperwork
Peter **********
@Ian ****
Yep same here. Lots of paperwork to show they have things to go back for and proof you can provide for them here and had no problem at all.
Greta *****
Fly her over
Henry *********
She will need a Visitor visa if she's just visiting. She applies via VFS in Bangkok or Chiang Mai. If she plans to live in the UK she needs a Settlement Visa. Easy enough, if you meet the financial requirements and she passes the English language test.
Ian ******
Key Visa can help you.

Many people get rejected when they do their first application. My wife got rejected twice. I would recommend finding a good visa agent to help you through the process for the first time and learn how to do the application yourself for the next times.

Congratulations on the marriage 👍

@Dan ******
I did the application for my partner and she got approved first time. She's now on a 2 year visitor visa.

yeah we used the same to. First two times got rejected for not providing sufficient documents but then got it the third time. Had to answer the questions in a ‘certain’ way
