: The first time you got it was for 3 months. It's only the extension that is one year. That's how it is for everyone.

: The non-O Visa is for 3 months. It is the extension of stay that is for one year. Where did you get your information? No one on this forum has ever talked about a one year non-O Visa. I am not aware of any immigration office that offers a one year Visa.

: Is it exactly the same process when applying for the one year extension, and do you do both at the immigration office located at Chang Watthana (for Bangkok). Thanks for all the tips! I think I'm close to getting it right now 😂

: Thank you! I guess I may have overlooked this part or forgotten this post regarding the insurance. I'm already all set with my letter from the Canadian embassy.

I will do as you suggest and apply for the Visa from within Thailand. The receipt you're referring to is the one that the embassy gives relating to the 50$ fee for the letter? I guess it's to prove that the letter was indeed provided by the embasssy?

: Do you mean Pacific Cross? Did you have bad experiences with them? If so, what kind of problems?

OK, now I am really confused.... I had applied for my Thailand pass last Sunday with the itinerary Montreal -> Zurich -> Bangkok -> Phuket.

After applying, I read online that my Thailand pass would be declined, because I was transiting by Bangkok on the way to Phuket. I was told that the quarantine in the SHA+ hotel had to be done in the first port of entry in Thailand.

However, Now I have just received my Thailand Pass approval, even with an itinerary whereby I am passing through Bangkok on the way to Phuket.

Do I run a risk that I will not be permitted to board the plane to Phuket (from Bangkok), even if my Thailand pass has been approved?

: For the option of staying in Bkk, my idea was to change the flight from BKK to Phuket to the following day. This way the luggage stays with me.

If I can change my flight itinerary to Montréal -> Zurich -> Phuket, would this be ok for Thai Pass and "test and go" in Phuket?

Thanks for your help.
