I live in Chon buri. I want to get back to my wife and family. I won't be leaving again it's been to long as it is. To give no reguard to people that have a house and family is beyond belief. I have to spend money on 14 days in a hotel in Pattaya but can wander about , meet my family but cannot stay at my house 3 miles up the road at soi Siam. Do they not consider family situations , what good are covid tests after u arrive if u can go anywhere in Pattaya. Crazy.... I'm from the Uk , vaccinated both jags.
Start to live with covid already or have their tourism lunch $ eaten by brave competitors like Mexico.
Good luck of attracting people like me who’d rather spend their $ in vax-free, quarantine-free, test-free, mask-optional (in most parts) of Yucatán peninsula of Mexico that have similar or better infrastructure than Phuket at similar prices ($.80 taco & $60
***
hotel).

This picture was taken this week on the cruise dock of Cozumel just arrived from Playa del Carmen.
They can reopen or sandbox as much as they like but it matters phuck all as far as I'm concerned as we are still not allowed to leave Australia unless you have a very very good reason , a prisoner in my own country

Phuket and samui are islands....so sand boxing them is a pretty easy concept
How the hell are they gonna sandbox bkk? There whole stance made a lot more sense before they lost control 5 months ago.
us bringing covid to thailand is bringing sand to the beach, especially if we’re vaccinated. Really hoping there’s enough economic pressure to make some changes in the next couple months for entry and quarantine requirements, but it’s thailand so god only knows.

I think they keep a sandbox style entry port always and just include the other places after the sandbox which could really be 5 days . But why you would not just do a PCR on day 1 and one on day 4 . Obviously the generals have bought up the labs .But you have more chance now to catch Covid from a local Thai than the 1 in a 1000 coming from overseas .
Or Pattaya , its like include the other crazy locations .

Interesting quote from this article:
It is unclear if tourists are required to apply for the certificate of entry (COE) which is a quite document-heavy process, and conduct four PCR-RT tests at their expense (before travel, upon arrival, and days 6 & 12).
