What are the customer service experiences and claim processes like for AIA and AXA health insurance?

I am shopping around for Health Insurance. I don't plan to renew with the company I currently have a policy with because I am really not satisfied with their customer service.

Based on my comparison of existing companies, I am down to AIA and AXA.

For those of you that have a policy with one of these companies, I would like to know your personal experiences:

- How is the customer service? Is it easy to get answers to questions and a fast response?

- If you have had to submit a claim, was it easy to get a payment (either direct pay or reimburse) or were you subjected to a long and arduous "analysis" process?

- For those of you that are in the 70+ age group, are the premiums still affordable or do they skyrocket? I am 57 years young, but I want to know what type of increases I need to expect in the future.

Thanks in advance for your help!

In case anyone is wondering, I am not satisfied with my current insurance company because:

1. Their customer service is very poor. They either do not respond to queries, or end up answering them after a very long time (more than 1 week) and multiple reminders.

2. I have had to submit a small claim (2500 baht), and have been submitted to a barrage of questions and documents that I have needed to provide. Each time I send a document, additional documents and information are being requested in piece-meal fashion. After more than one month, I still have not gotten and response.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is considering switching health insurance providers from their current company due to dissatisfaction with poor customer service and a cumbersome claims process. They are comparing AIA and AXA and are seeking personal experiences regarding customer service quality, ease of claims submission, and premium costs, particularly for those aged 70 and above. Comments suggest a mix of experiences; one user has been with AXA since 2009 and praises its claim settlement efficiency, while another user enjoys AIA due largely to their helpful agent.

I am with AXA, and am also friends with someone who works for them and helped me to get a good deal.

Better off with Wrlife premiums fixed for 5 years and NO CoPay...

I use AIA and I'm very happy with them. But I suspect a huge part of that is down to the agent I use who's extremely helpful.

I can only speak as I have found.

Been with AXA since 2009. No claims made whilst abroad but U.K. claims were settled swiftly directly to the hospital.

I have full global cover, I’m 68 and my premium is £760 per month.

Have a night in Bangkok and book for the next day. No point in being rushed or nervous. Then you can pre book and know it’s all sorted.
