I just went to Ban Laem a few days ago. It was a breeze. Defiantely do NOT go to Poipet.

If you have many stamps on your passport, covid extensions and bogus volunteer visa it is recommended you use a visa run company.

Why the need to cancel? I had an Ed visa and another type of non-o in the past. I never canceled and just left the country.

Depends on the family. The parents of my last thai gf didn't want dowry at all.

I think it is impossible to give you any clear answer because we don't know your lifestyles, age, standards of living and city where you plan to live. My health insurance covers up to 500k usd w a higher deductible, I am healthy in my mid 40s so my insurance is only in cases of emergency cost 20k baht a year.

Cost of living in Bkk is much higher than other parts of the country. Do u plan on living in bkk or another province?

A descent 3 bedrooms condo is about 40k baht in the city in a good area.

Electricity if u can live without AC is around 1000 baht. With AC running 2500 baht and up.

I chose to live in the center of the city so I don't need a car. Traffic is truly awful.

@Anthony ********
when did u do it? Before covid the immigration there was not allowing visa runs in that border

@Dahni ******
you don't do Poi Pet for a visa run, it was the NO-GO border pre-covid for visa runs.

Either the border w Laos or the 2 small borders in Chantaburi or the one in Trat.

@Steve ******
when did you do your visa run?

I spoke w the visa agent that works on the border on May 8. She said I needed to stay over night.

I read 1 report from someone who did at another Camdo - Thai border and they said the same.

Staying overnight was a very old rule that was not enforced for the past few years.

there was a rule that you need to stay overnight in Cambodia. Do you know if that is still being enforced?
