Your foreign visa card works in 7-11 thailand. No lower limit. If it's decor card you might need to say "credit". Bangkok bank visa debit does NOT work...

See if you can change the flights so you have longer time, if less than 24h it still counts as "transfer" and not stopover. I've done this before. The airline did the change for free. If you're lucky

It seems to me that the biggest worry would be to get out of China.

Once your here, you can really travel to cambodia and Singapore with minimal restrictions.

I just joined at flights between bkk and shanghai and they seem virtually noon existent.

The only drawback is that some visa matters have to be done in "your home country or pkace of residence". And once you leave china...

It's virtually impossible to get flight to china so this might be an option.

Can you that from an atm in Thailand?

There is 60 days stay visa that are multiple entry for 6 months. I think the original idea of "visa run"was to leave within 60 days and come back. Getting a new visa or enter again on except isn't the same

Now, i always like to consider that doing a Visa run, or extrention is as costly as just going to another country and stay there a month.

Not sure why people insists on staying put in one country all the time.... (If you're not working illegally, or trying to "live" there)
