180 days per entry, you can also extend in country once but then have to leave, at which time you can leave and re enter, resetting the 180 days. Multi entry for five years. We've been waiting for a decade for this. Good Luck.

As tod.says, do what we did if need be, enter 30

Days visa exempt then leave, fly back in to activate your eVisa (you have to fly back in).

Worked well for us and we ended up with extra 30 days which avoided the initial extension + we had a great trip to Taiwan.

I see mention of a few things below, in the comments. In reference to your candid, black and white and 'to the point' observations; THIS IS EXACTLY WHY WE COME HERE...!! The maze and merriment of the Thai visa process is confusing at best, we need someone who sorts the wheat from the chaff and gets rid of the noise, advice which gets to the point rather than being discussional and more confusing. Surely?
