Anonymous participant wow I guess I’m lucky that I was able to apply in Canada, it was a very easy process. They even called me when there was a problem and helped me out, I couldn’t have asked for better service at the consulate in Vancouver Canada.
I tried writing a letter, I own my own business and do all my work online, it did not work, I applied under "soft power activities" and was approved in 2 days, very easy, my wife got her DTV in 1 day
I did not need any proof of a flight to Thailand at all, I did listed our flight number on the DTV application, as for bank account information I did not have the funds in a checkings/savings account, money is in a term deposit/CD, and is "cashable", this was all accepted with no issues at the Thai consulate in Vancouver BC. I applied online (all are going to online soon), I could have been anywhere in the world and it would have been fine, the only thing is you need to be out of Thailand (obviously), I think it is best to apply from your home country
you do not have to be in your home country to apply, you just have to be out of Thailand, lots of people are applying out of Thailand, but they are not in their home country, but they are applying their home country online, I did mine here in Canada, but I could’ve been anywhere in the world, it would not have mattered
Very easy to apply online, no issue at all, once I changed my category from remote worker to soft power activities, it took 2 days for my DTV and 1 day for my wife's DTV, online saved us a lot of time and effort.
They are all going online only soon, all visas will be E visas from now on, no in person visits to consulates or embassies, this has been quite prominent in the news lately
That doesn’t seem very fair to me, I was approved at the consulate in Vancouver in two days, I was also rejected the first time, but they didn’t make me pay again
