As mentioned, we married in Germany and the marriage was registered at the Thai embassy in Berlin. The embassy passed the registration on to the District in Loei, where my wife’s address was registered at that time. I have lived in Chiang Mai for 6 years, extensions of stay based on marriage to a Thai national were granted every year. In the applications the translations of the German documents and the registration at the embassy were included each time, but we were never asked for the Kor Ror 22.

A bit confused now, my extension of stay is due to get prolonged end of May. Is this Kor Ror 2 document only needed if the couple married in Thailand? I was never asked for it during 7 years in Chiang Mai. We married in Germany and registered with the Thai embassy in Berlin, the relevant documents had to be translated by an authorized translator and that was it.

extension of stay. I live in Thailand since 7 years. Just moved from Chiang Mai to Sattahip, hence my uncertainty.

In Jomtien we had to wait outside of the building. Every now and then a lady came with a little plastic basket full with passports and shouted the numbers of the tickets the applicants had received when handing over their documents.

Get the TM 30 form from your Immigration office, get signed copies of your landlord‘s house register (Tabien Barn) and ID card and let him fill and sign the form. Prepare copies of your passport, take the mentioned paperwork and go to the immigration office. That will do. Most immigration offices have separate queues for TM30 reporting.
