yes but that's expensive and annoying if you have to redo quarantine and PCR testing and all the other problems getting back to Thailand

Just get a normal tourist visa. If you have the STV there's no way off it if you want to stay longer.

of course there's no need but it creates less stress and pressure to get everything done in one month as well as finding somewhere to live more permanently, opening a bank account, getting licenses, meeting people and being normal.
