TLDR : Answer Summary
A couple in Bangkok with a 30-day visa seeks recommendations for educational options to obtain an educational visa in Thailand. Community members suggest reliable language schools, including Duke Language School and ALA, located in Sukhumvit Soi 13. They also mention options in other cities like Chiang Mai and Koh Samui. Discussions surrounding the process, extending visas, and recommendations for teachers also surface, highlighting the varied experiences of expats in Thailand.

Curiosity, how much do teachers make in Thailand for teaching English? I know it will vary with areas, but would love to know some ideas on it.

For government schools:

Native English speaker with a degree: 35K (Bangkok), 30K (elsewhere).

Non-Native English speakers with a degree: 30K (Bangkok), 25K (elsewhere):

Filipinas/ Filipinos with a degree: 25K (Bangkok), 20K (Elsewhere).

Expected working hours (in the classroom teaching): 16 - 24 hours a week.

I assume you mean you want to do Thai education visa?

I attend ALA. They are located Sukhumvit Soi 13. 2 hour class per day Monday to Friday, pretty well structured. Can do online or in person. There is also Duke, which is located in the same building very highly recommended for serious learner.

First of all where do you want to live? If you want a legit Thai School where you can obtain an Ed visa then Google Duke Language School. It is in Trendy Building in Sukhumvit Soi 13, Bangkok. If you just want to pay an agent for a visa just to stay then you can pick one of many and take your chances.

Have a look for school in Hua Hin. If a legitimate school they provide all paperwork and no need for an agent
