I did it last month. Handed him my passport and walked out 2 minutes later. Note that in my passport was the appointment notification, address registration and departure card.

I did it at BKK Bank Pattaya 2nd road across from Soi 6. Easy as can be. No hassles. No drama.

@Can***
we are in Ubon. They had to drive 2 hours from Ubon City to our village.

@Canice *****
yes. We applied and they came the next week. Then 3 weeks later my visa was approved.

For us they showed up about a week after we applied and talked to my mother in law. They asked: Where am I from. Where did we get married. How much time we spend in Thailand. Basic bullshit. Then they asked a neighbor some of the same stuff.

Funny thing is my mother in law got a few questions wrong and the immigration guy just laughed.

They never even went in our house. Sat on the porch the whole time.

Disagree with Harry. I have only used the Ubon office at the university and have had 100% positive experiences. I have used them to extend my stay on a 90 day Non O from Laos based on marriage. I have used them to extend a 30 day entry stamp for the simple 30 day and on the 60 day based on marriage. I have gone there to update my address and do 90 day check in. Literally every experience was quick, efficient, professional and with a smile.

Having said all of that we are extremely competent with our paperwork, we smile and greet people and offer thanks for their assistance. We don’t treat them like they owe us something or with any attitude. I see that plenty and it simply backfires.

As my father told me a long time ago “you draw more flies with sugar than you do with shit.”

I never even looked. Was recommended by a friend. I leaned the hard way I guess.

I agree with that! I booked through cheapOair and it took 2 months to refund and they charged me $140 per ticket even though the airline cancelled the flight.
