Hey all!

Is anyone aware if notarial services are available at the US embassy in Bangkok or are they still suspended - further has anyone used them recently? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the availability of notarial services at the US embassy in Bangkok due to potential suspension. Comments indicate that notarial services are being offered on a limited basis, with specific requirements necessary for appointments. One user was able to secure an emergency appointment in Chiang Mai and advised that getting a slot might require a compelling reason. Additionally, alternatives to in-person services were suggested, such as using online notarization services like Notarize.com.

And you know they charge $50 US, right?

I just checked my receipt again to be sure. I paid $25 on 5 January this year. But it was a single page document with one stamp. No idea if that matters or not 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you cannot get to them you can try this:

I have used them. It’s fast, effective and I had no issue with the documents notarized.

You make an account, upload docs, do an interview and then they send you your stuff all notarized and good to go.

I was there Friday. You need a very good reason and they ask you to explain all alternatives and why you haven't done e notary. There is only 1 person per half an hr for any type of embassy service so maybe 8 slots a day total, so you need a really good reason.

It’s not BKK, but they are doing it in CM for emergency requests. My emergency was that I need it done for a job visa. I just wrote to ask when they’d reopen and they gave me an appointment. This was about two weeks ago. Give it a shot via email, notwithstanding what the website says. The worst they can do is say no!
