No. You might just be instructed to go self file your TM30 in the same building. Bring a copy of your hotel booking, and allow yourself some extra hour(s) in case you are asked to file it.
If you are tourist(non-resident), easiest is check into a Bangkok hotel a few days before you go to Bangkok immigration. Ask hotel to give you a copy of their TM30 registration for you. Bring it with you, and a copy of your hotel booking, when you go to immigration to apply for the extension.
true story: last time I was there the mean lady at MTT emphatically says to me, you have to leave in March, you are already here long time! I still got the extension, but that hassle was unnecessary. 😐
