Hi all, I went to MTT today, filled TM30, and applied for covid19 60 day extension. Pretty smooth process however for covid19 extension they didn't need the TM30 notice. And also they put me on under consideration stamp till 15th March. I need to be at MTT again that day. Just curious if there is any chance for rejection of the visa extension?

And from which date the extension will be given?

Thank you so much

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the chances of rejection for their COVID-19 visa extension and the start date of the extension after submitting their application and TM30 form. Responses indicated that the likelihood of rejection is very low and that the extension may start from the application date or be added onto the current visa duration.

There is virtually a zero precent chance of the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 of being rejected. If they reject you, it'll be a VERY good reason - and you'd know the reason already.

>And from which date the extension will be given

Sometimes the extension is added on, and sometimes the extension starts on the date you apply for the extension.

I haven't heard of rejections but I've heard of cases being sent home and ask to return with an Embassy letter

That's very common

I never heard of anyone getting rejected for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 because they already been here for a year :\

true story: last time I was there the mean lady at MTT emphatically says to me, you have to leave in March, you are already here long time! I still got the extension, but that hassle was unnecessary. ๐Ÿ˜

I believe your story, and I believe she told you that. But just because she told you that doesn't mean she'll actually give you a rejection stamp.
