I guess this falls under the "everything else" category...

When Thai nationals return to the Kingdom, is their ASQ stay free?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Thai nationals returning to Thailand can access State Quarantine (ASQ) for free if they arrive on a repatriation flight organized by the embassy. There are still some free options available, although many will need to pay for their ASQ stay if they do not use the designated repatriation flights. Discussions indicate that variations exist based on flight type, with many Thai nationals reporting their ASQ experiences positively if they utilize the free facilities.

There is still lots of Thais coming back and they stay for free. I personally know many that have come back from the US. They all just pay for the one way flight organized by the Thai Embassy. They then go to SQ once they arrive in Bangkok. Most of them say it’s very nice, clean with great food.

I believe if you are personally invited by the prime minister you can enter without ASQ , but haven’t heard of anyone who falls under this status yet.

Wasn't there a private jet a while ago with Chinese business men/ investors that were deemed exempt from quarantine.

There is also one repatriation flight a month from Hong Kong. I don’t know how easy it would be to take a flight from wherever you are at one of these three options (mentioned above)?

I believe the logical step for any Thai wishing to return would be to reach out to their local Royal Thai Consulate to discuss options!?

There's still one repatriation flight per week from Australia, and I believe one from the UK. Thais arriving on these will still be able to access SQ, but others pay for ASQ.

, that’s not correct I know 4 Thai people, not related to each other, who payed their quarantine because they didn’t take a repatriation flight, organised by the embassy!

Steve Greir. Thais returning on the semi-commercial flights don't get SQ, although the SQ facilities have asked the government to change the policy and allow all Thais into SQ, as apparently there are a lot of empty rooms

It was my understanding that Thai people have free ASQ if they come back with a repatriation flight organised by the embassy

That's correct too, but there are very few repatriation flights still being chartered as commercial air routes have resumed for the most part.

Originally it was, they converted military barracks to quarantine facilities that were actually really nice. Then they moved to ASQ hotels that were paid for by the government. Now almost all have to pay for the ASQs, there might be a few free ones left still.

They can choose from either free or premium ASQ. Foreigners can't use the free facility.
