TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is possible to extend your visa in Bangkok even if your previous stamp was issued in Koh Samui. To successfully apply for an extension, ensure you have a TM30 registration from your hotel in Bangkok and proof of your stay. While some users report that certain offices may require you to return to the location of your original visa stamp, many others have confirmed that extensions can be filed in Bangkok as long as the necessary documentation is provided.

, it depends .. are you actually on a visa?

Like a 60day Tourist Visa, and you arrived after last November 2020?

Or you like to extend a year on your Non O-B-ED visa?

Or you like to receive another 60 day Covid extension?

This matters since for starters you have to go a different place in Bangkok .. and as people said you have to be at least registered in BKK also.

For certain visa types to extend you even have to show a rental contract and a lot of paperwork.

So with more details we might be able to answer your question.

I doubt so . If visa was firstly done in Samui they will make you go Samui to get your extension. Speaking from experience I was made to go back to Phuket for the process

@Irene ******
and what type of visa/extension were you trying to extend at an immigration office where you don't live?
Irene *******
@Tod ********
it was covid extension

@Irene ******
are you talking about "closing out an under consideration" stamp (where you go back to who issued the original stamp) OR are you talking about applying for a new 60 day covid extension?

Most offices as long as you can prove you stay in the area they cover will let you file a covid extension with them..
Tod *********
you might have to prove you actually live in the area where you're applying for the extension (as in you or your land lord filed a TM30 notification of foreigner in residence) but there isn't a problem getting a 60 day covid extension at either immigration office in Surat Thani province

The op clearly has model photos on her public Facebook profile. Not everything is part of the grand misogynist world plan.

That being said, excuse me while I go fuck my ex-wife.

Dont assume every one has in their mind what u have in urs.

@Darren *******
well what a gentleman you must be! And your question, as is mine, has nothing whatsoever to do with the OP’s post. Fire away. Let’s see where this might lead you. I’m curious.

@Janice **********
if u read the question .. I'm not asking it to lead me anywhere.. that was only in ur head. Lol

sounds like that’s where he keeps his Russian models. But that must be a misunderstanding surely.

If you are tourist(non-resident), easiest is check into a Bangkok hotel a few days before you go to Bangkok immigration. Ask hotel to give you a copy of their TM30 registration for you. Bring it with you, and a copy of your hotel booking, when you go to immigration to apply for the extension.
